At Lockwood SOUTH we understand the importance of being connected to the world through technology. We encourage students to develop and explore the possibilities that technology provides.

Our Learning Spaces have a mixture of desk top computers, notebooks and a Polycom Conferencing Unit.

Interactive white boards and an interactive television are used by teachers and students during whole class instruction or small group work. We also use I Pads, digital cameras, flip cameras, voice recorders, mp3 players and video recorders to record what students are doing. The use of technology is integrated into all the work we do. It’s not taught or used in isolation.

We are Proud to be an eSmart School

we are eSmart

What is an eSmart school?

An eSmart school is a school where the smart, safe and responsible use of                                                               information and communicationseSmart Sign.JPG technology is a cultural norm. Students, teachers and the wider school community are equipped to embrace the best these technologies can offer, while being savvy about the pitfalls.

Students are regularly involved in developing and delivering information on the smart, safe and responsible use of technologies to a variety of audiences and are taught a suite of social and emotional skills.

In eSmart schools, relationships are strong and supportive and learning outcomes are enhanced. Bullying and cyberbullying are therefore less likely to thrive.
